The fit checker runs in the browser. The measurements entered and the result produced are not sent to or stored by the site.
Basic server logs
Like most web hosting, the server temporarily processes technical request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser identifier, time, and error status to deliver and secure the site. Public request logs rotate daily, with up to 14 archived rotations retained; an entry is therefore normally removed within 15 days. Container error logs are size-capped. Access is limited to operational troubleshooting and security.
Counting outbound buying clicks
Choosing an Amazon buying link on the comparison page passes through a redirect on this site before Amazon opens. Alongside the basic server logs described above, that redirect adds one line to a separate click record. The line holds the calendar date and which product was chosen, and nothing else: no IP address, browser identifier, referring page, cookie, or account. The click record is kept beyond the log retention period above, because it says which comparisons are useful and cannot on its own identify anyone. The basic server log entry for the same request still contains the usual technical fields and is still removed on the schedule described above.
Cookies and analytics
The current build does not set advertising cookies and does not load an analytics service. It does not run Amazon tracking code in the browser.
External and affiliate links
Manufacturer and Amazon links lead to sites with their own privacy practices. Amazon paid links contain an associate identifier so Amazon can attribute qualifying activity after a visitor chooses to leave this site. Amazon, rather than this site, determines what information it processes at that destination.
If you email us, the message and address are processed by the email providers involved and kept as needed to answer the request or maintain a correction record.
